Entegrus proudly hosted the 11th annual Electricity Distributors Association (EDA) Western District’s Charity Golf Tournament at Caradoc Sands Golf Club on September 10th, raising $80,000 to support the building of a hospice in Strathroy.

The Power of Golf Fore Charity tournament, an annual event where electrical utilities and industry partners come together, focuses on raising funds for worthy local causes. This year, proceeds will help bring the dream of a hospice for the Strathroy community closer to reality.

“We have been working tirelessly to establish a resource that will allow residents of Strathroy to remain close to their loved ones in their final days. The support from this tournament means the world to the community of Strathroy and will make a huge difference,” said Tyler Damen, Chair of Strathroy Hospice.

Title sponsors for this year’s event included Entegrus and TD Canada Trust, with many more sponsors contributing to the event’s success. A full list of sponsors can be found at: Entegrus.com/EDAgolf2024

Jim Hogan, President and CEO of Entegrus, emphasized the importance of community collaboration: “The generosity shown by utilities, suppliers, industry partners, and the local community made this event a resounding success. The outpouring of support exceeded all expectations, and it was great to witness everyone coming together for such a vital cause. Thank you to everyone involved—this is how we make a lasting impact.”

Since its inception, the EDA Western District Power of Golf Fore Charity Tournament has raised over $500,000 for local charities. “This tournament is a testament to the power of local hydro communities working together,” said Chris White, President of the EDA Western District. “The impact from our supporters will be felt for years to come.”
