Entegrus line crews, who were heading to Florida to assist Florida Power & Light (FPL) with power restoration, have been called off. While disappointed that they will not be able to participate in the recovery efforts, the team is proud of how quickly they were able to mobilize.
Within 24 hours of receiving the call for assistance, a team of 14 Entegrus employees hit the road, joined by crews from Bluewater Power, ERTH Power, Essex Powerlines, and E.L.K. Energy. This rapid response demonstrates the readiness of local utilities to assist wherever they are needed.
“We are incredibly proud of how our team came together to prepare and deploy in such a short time,” said Jim Hogan, President and CEO of Entegrus. “While our crew won’t be assisting on-site in Florida, this experience reaffirms our commitment to providing aid in times of crisis. Our thoughts remain with those impacted by these devastating storms.”
Entegrus extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who played a role in getting the crew on the road, and a special thank you to the community for the tremendous support and the warm send-off.
The convoy will return home in time for Thanksgiving, but their thoughts remain with those affected by the hurricanes and the ongoing restoration efforts in Florida.
